If you’ve ever wondered whether that DVC membership is really worth it, let us introduce you to Welcome Home Weeks! It’s the annual celebration that turns “welcome home” from a nice greeting into a genuinely magical experience packed with free treats, exclusive events, and discounts you won’t find anywhere else.

For 2026, Welcome Home Weeks runs July 22 through August 26, and this year is extra special: it also marks 35 years of Disney Vacation Club. So Disney is going big. Here’s what eligible Members can look forward to.

Free Ice Cream, Because Why Not?

Let’s start with the crowd favorite: complimentary ice cream. Members can swing by rotating “Sweet Stops” across Walt Disney World, Disneyland Resort, Aulani, Disney’s Vero Beach Resort, and Disney’s Hilton Head Island Resort for a free Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar, an ice cream sandwich, or a fruit bar. Locations rotate between the parks and Disney Springs throughout the event, so it’s worth checking the calendar before you head out.

Coffee, Donuts, and “Welcome Home Wakeups”

Not everyone wants ice cream before 9am (though we don’t judge). For the early risers, Disney hosts “Welcome Home Wakeup” mornings with complimentary coffee and pastries at select resort venues. Owning it means starting your park day with a little extra pep — and a little extra magic.

There’s also a rotating cast of Disney Springs freebies:

Meet Characters Just for Members

Welcome Home Weeks includes members-only Character Close-Up experiences at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Aulani, Vero Beach, and Hilton Head — a chance to meet Disney favorites without fighting the general park crowds. If you’re staying at Disney World, the location is Atlantic Dance Hall at Disney’s BoardWalk!

Up to 40% Off Dining

This is the perk that actually moves the needle on your vacation budget. Eligible Members get up to 40% off food and non-alcoholic beverages at select table-service restaurants Monday through Thursday during the event, which is some real savings if you’re spending a week or two on property. Here’s the full list of eligible restaurants:
Hollywood & Vine at Disney’s Hollywood Studios (40% off breakfast, lunch & dinner)
Tusker House Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park (40% off lunch & dinner)
Biergarten Restaurant at EPCOT (40% off lunch)
Tiffins Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park (40% off dinner)
Coral Reef Restaurant at EPCOT (40% off dinner)
Garden Grill Restaurant at EPCOT (40% off lunch & dinner)
The Crystal Palace at Magic Kingdom Park (20% off lunch & dinner)
Be Our Guest Restaurant at Magic Kingdom Park (20% off lunch)
Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge (40% off brunch & dinner)
Trattoria al Forno at Disney’s BoardWalk (40% off breakfast & dinner)

Some of these restaurants are the most popular on Disney Property (I’m looking at you Be Our Guest), so whether you’ve never been, or you’re looking for a reason to go back, Welcome Home days is the best time to do it!

A Chance to Win a DVC Member Cruise

New for 2026: Members can enter a contest for a chance to join the 2027 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise, sailing the Pacific Coast out of San Diego. Entry is open through August 26.

How to Access the Perks

To take advantage of everything above, Members need to bring:

Some experiences also require valid park admission or reservations, so it’s worth mapping Welcome Home Weeks offerings against your itinerary before you go.

Why This Matters If You’re Financing a DVC Purchase

Perks like Welcome Home Weeks are part of why DVC ownership has such a devoted following — the free treats, member-only events, and dining discounts add up to real value year after year, on top of the vacations themselves. If you’re considering buying into DVC (resale or direct) and want financing that makes the purchase easier on your wallet, that’s exactly what we do at Vacation Club Loans. We help members turn “welcome home” into a reality sooner, with loan options built specifically around timeshare and vacation club purchases.
